Community Based Rehabilitation or CBRS is a skills based program that helps individuals learn techniques to better function in their environments, and to better handle symptoms of mental disorders. It can be used to help shape socially unacceptable behaviors of children, and enhance family functioning. CBRS is an important tool to address symptoms of mental illness in both adults and children. It is particularly effective at helping with symptoms of ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety disorders, Eating Disorders, and children with conduct issues as well as Severe Depression, Borderline Personality Disorders and individuals with Psychosis.
