What is Peer Support?

 A certified peer support specialist (CPSS) is an individual who utilizes their lived experiences to offer support, teach skills, share their knowledge-base, and connect their clients to resources within their community through mentoring and motivating. Peer support specialists can play many roles in support for people living with psychiatric disorders and/or in addiction recovery.
